AIRoACOR-262 Network Engineer (Branch NW / PrivateNW / AWS)
ネットワークエンジニア(拠点NW・閉域網・AWS)
Overview
Drive end-to-end network projects for R&D—from architecture to execution across branch networks, private networks, and AWS connectivity.
This position is responsible for designing and operating the branch networks, private networks, on-premises infrastructure, and AWS connectivity that support our R&D and office environments.
While this is not a Cloud SRE role, AWS networking is within your scope. You will primarily focus on on-premises and private networks, while expanding your coverage to the entire network architecture, including AWS.
Your responsibilities will range from requirements definition and equipment sizing for new branch setups to configuration changes, troubleshooting, and end-to-end project execution.
We welcome candidates from either background—whether you come from an on-premises network background looking to expand into AWS, or from a cloud background looking to broaden your scope into on-premises infrastructure.
Main Duties
- Internal & Branch Networks: Design and operate internal LANs, branch networks, and private networks (closed networks).
- Network Planning & Requirements: Define network requirements for new office setups, relocations, and floor expansions.
- Architecture & Sizing: Determine hardware configurations and equipment sizing based on user count, device count, traffic volume, required bandwidth, port density, PoE requirements, redundancy, and wireless AP density.
- L2/L3 Network Management: Design and operate Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks.
- Network Configurations: Configure and maintain VLANs, routing protocols, and firewall rules.
- Network Device Management: Hands-on operation and management of FortiGate and Cisco Meraki hardware.
- AWS & Hybrid Connectivity: Design and review connections between on-premises / private networks and AWS network components (VPC, Subnet, Route Table, Security Group/NACL, VPN, Direct Connect, etc.).
- Troubleshooting & Incident Response: Perform network troubleshooting and manage incident response.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with telecom carriers and network vendors.
- Project Management: Plan and manage network projects, including tracking issues, monitoring progress, and coordinating across stakeholders.
- On-Premises Systems Operation: Manage on-premises infrastructure, such as Linux servers and NAS storage.
- Documentation: Create and maintain network topology diagrams and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Security & Governance: Design and operate networks with a strong focus on information security best practices.
Why Join Us / Role Highlights
- Beyond the Cloud (Hybrid Expertise): Unlike pure cloud-native companies, our setup combines on-premises systems, networking, private networks, Linux, storage, public cloud, and SaaS. Developing expertise across both cloud and on-premises environments makes your skill set uniquely valuable in today’s market.
- Build & Shape Phase: You will do more than just maintain existing operations—you have the autonomy to rebuild, optimize, and improve underlying systems and processes.
- Powering AI & Robotics R&D: You will directly build and support the infrastructure that empowers AI researchers, robotics engineers, and software developers.
- Direct Ownership & Technical Depth: This is not a vendor-management-only role. You will have a hands-on environment for network design and direct configuration changes.
- Full Ownership & Project Leadership: Beyond day-to-day operations, you will drive network projects from end to end and take full ownership of our network domain.
