Many legal professionals spend a significant portion of their time on tasks like document formatting, correcting inconsistencies, and verifying cross-references, rather than engaging in core legal strategy. This role aims to address these operational inefficiencies through technology, providing an environment where legal experts can focus on their primary responsibilities.

We are seeking a leader whose role extends beyond overseeing internal legal affairs to driving product development and business growth. Leveraging your expertise gained in law firms or corporate legal departments, you will lead the enhancement of our product to solve customer challenges, support enterprise deployments, and drive the overall digitization of the legal sector.

Responsibilities

Product Development Contribution

  • Logically deconstruct complex legal workflows and collaborate with the development team to define functional requirements.
  • Bring deep legal expertise to achieve technical excellence through rapid iteration, experimentation, and actionable feedback.

Enterprise Customer Success and Value Maximization

  • Lead the strategic rollout and adoption of legal technology solutions at top-tier law firms and global enterprises.
  • Be accountable among leadership for continually growing customer satisfaction, both quantitatively and qualitatively.
  • Drive account growth by identifying and executing upselling and cross-selling opportunities to increase overall business revenue.

Organization Building and Talent Development

  • Recruit and train team members with legal expertise (Legal Experts).
  • Build an organizational structure capable of consistently and autonomously generating high results.

Requirements

  • License: Active license to practice law (in Japan or another major jurisdiction).
  • Language Proficiency: Business-level fluency in both Japanese and English (ability to discuss complex requirements and strategies with development teams and overseas members).
  • Experience: 3+ years of practical experience in a law firm or corporate legal department. Experience managing legal operations is a strong plus.
  • Mindset: A strong commitment to solving challenges in the legal sector through the application of technology.

Working Arrangement

  • Fully remote
    • For employees residing near Tokyo, possible in-person work several times a month
  • Flexible working hours
    • Flexible: 6:00 am - 11:30 am / 3:00 pm - 10:00 pm
    • Core: 11:30 am - 3:00 pm
  • Virtual Office

Holidays
