We are looking for an experienced Tech Lead to join our Platform team, to help with development and delivery of exaBase Studio - including:

  • Collaborating with business stakeholders on requirements’ definition and technical goal-setting.
  • Working with the Platform team on development of core back-end features of the exaBase Studio platform.
  • Leading the team on the technical front, both by guiding others and delegating work, but also demonstrating hands-on technical excellence.
  • Cross-team communication and alignment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience developing backend web applications using Golang or another modern high-level language.
  • System and database architecture design experience in high-scale, asynchronous microservice environments.
  • Deep understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Focus on engineering best practices such as testing, CI/CD, and DevOps.
  • Experience with Kubernetes.
  • Clear and audience-oriented communication skills.
  • Business-level English and conversational Japanese OR Business-level Japanese and at least reading and writing capabilities for English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Track-record of leading autonomous, self-improving teams.
  • Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and project managers to facilitate requirement discovery and cross-functional delivery of products.
  • Experience hiring and onboarding engineers.
  • Interest in mentoring and developing junior engineers.
  • Experience in the fields of SRE, QA, security, and release management.

Compensation

Annual salary: 6 million yen to 13.08 million yen

  • Monthly salary: 1/12th of the annual salary
  • Minimum monthly salary: 500,000 yen (basic salary of 369,930 yen, overtime pay of 45 hours as 130,070 yen)
  • Maximum monthly salary: 840,000 yen (basic salary of 806,470 yen, overtime pay of 45 hours as 283,530 yen)
  • Additional overtime pay for working beyond 45 hours will be provided.

Salary will be determined based on experience, abilities, and preferences, following company regulations.

Flextime/discretionary labor system or managerial/supervisory work style may be adapted depending on the nature of the job.
