Engineering Team Operations Assistant (Student Part-timer)

Overview

HENNGE K.K. is an IT company that develops and provides in-house IT services, including "HENNGE One," the No. 1 security SaaS service in Japan by market share.

The Productivity Section supports engineers within the development division through various tasks, such as planning and operating internal events, as well as responsibilities like engineer recruitment, onboarding, and education.

In this position, you will assist with planning and operating internal events and supporting data management within the department. As you progress, you can become more actively involved in expanding internal content for engineers and contributing to the planning and development of events.

While most communication within the development team is conducted in English, this position requires Business level Japanese. If you are interested in English and want to work while learning and applying it, this is an ideal environment for you! Specific Responsibilities

Event Planning & Operations Support

  • Internal/External Event Operations: Assist in the planning and operation of internal and external events for the engineering organization.
  • Event Research & Planning: Take part in researching and proposing new internal events.

Data & Account Management

  • Account Management Support: Check the usage status of cloud services and verify purchased licenses.
  • Data Management: Organize and manage departmental data using tools like Google Slides and Spreadsheets.

Organizational Development & Educational Support

  • Educational Support: Assist in creating and enhancing educational and onboarding content for engineers.

  • Learn While Working in a Global Environment: While communication within the development team is mostly in English, this position also heavily utilizes Japanese. This is a great place to practically improve your language skills.

Required Qualifications

  • Japanese Requirements: Business-level (at least JLPT N2). Ability to read and write business emails, communicate verbally, and understand business documents in Japanese (with some assistance if needed).
  • English Requirements: Ability to communicate with employees both in writing and verbally. (Those who are currently studying or interested in English are highly welcome!)
  • IT Skills: Ability to use formulas in spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Spreadsheets). Searching the internet for formulas while working is perfectly fine.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable with learning and utilizing new IT tools.
  • Work Eligibility: Currently reside in Japan and hold a valid visa status allowing part-time employment at the time of application.

Compensation

  • Hourly wage: 1,500 JPY

Work Schedule & Holidays

  • Working Hours: Approximately 10 hours per week (e.g., 2 days a week, 4 to 5 hours a day).
  • Work Days: Fixed office attendance on Fridays (negotiable for unavoidable circumstances during the employment period). Other workdays are negotiable.
  • Holidays: Weekdays other than your scheduled work days, weekends, national holidays, and the New Year period (December 29 - January 3).

  • Start Date: October 1, 2026
