Our platform supports Japan’s largest online energy trading market, aiming for a future annual transaction volume of 100 trillion yen. We offer marketplace solutions for energy businesses, with products including:

• eSquare: Japan’s first online trading platform for energy
• eCompass: Market data platform providing pricing and fuel data
• eScan: ETRM (Energy Trading Risk Management System) tailored for electricity risk visualization
• JCEX: Marketplace for domestic and global environmental value trading

Responsibilities

As Engineering Manager for the SRE/Platform team, you will:

• Plan team hiring and headcount
• Foster team members’ growth and evaluate performance
• Drive short- and mid-term roadmaps for SRE/Platform Engineering
• Assign resources and lead project management

Requirements

Preferred Experiences

• Developing/operating products/tools using Go
• Identifying/solving system issues (e.g. performance, SPOF)
• Cloud infrastructure design/management for security, availability, and productivity
• Infrastructure capacity planning and architecture based on SLOs
• Kubernetes cluster design and operation
• Building operational monitoring with Datadog, Prometheus, etc.
• Visualizing metrics using BI tools (Looker Studio, etc.)
• Driving security assessments and improvements
• Operating RDBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL, RDS) in production
• Microservices architecture design, implementation, and operations

Working Conditions

Salary

• ¥10,000,000–¥15,000,000 per year

Location

• Tokyo office (Minami Aoyama, Minato-ku)
• Remote work possible (some in-person onboarding may be required)

Job Type

• Full-time employee

Work Hours

• Flexible: No core hours, standard 8 hours/day
• Holidays: 122 days/year, fully remote on weekends, public holidays, summer/winter breaks, paid leave, condolence/maternity/childcare/sick leave, special refresh leave ("Yohaku" – 5 consecutive days/year)

Probation Period

• 3 months (same conditions as full employment)
