AI Engineer – Agent

We are seeking an AI Engineer to join our team, focusing on the design, development, and deployment of AI agents that leverage cutting-edge techniques to streamline corporate business processes, with a strong emphasis on the legal domain. Key Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

• Implement and improve AI agents and their tools/adapters under guidance from senior engineers.
• Integrate agent capabilities with existing SaaS platforms and legal workflow systems.
• Assist in evaluating third-party models, frameworks, and services; prototype and document integration options.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs and deliver scoped, high-impact agent features.
• Build and maintain tooling for monitoring, testing, and evaluating AI agent performance (traces, logs, alerts, dashboards).
• Participate in code reviews and follow best practices in documentation, testing, and version control.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and fix issues to improve accuracy, reliability, and scalability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure; familiarity with containers and CI/CD is a plus.
• Knowledge of NLP techniques, RAG systems, and prompt engineering; experience with structured outputs is a plus.
• Contributions to open-source projects, technical blogs, or demos/portfolios related to agentic systems.
• Experience integrating or operating AI services/models in development or staging environments.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse cultures in English; Japanese language skills are a plus.

Working Conditions

Salary

• 7 to 10 million yen per year

• Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan (in-office; not fully remote for candidates residing outside Japan)
