About
The Mobile Enablement team is a core pillar of Engineering Enablement, responsible for enabling group-wide mobile ecosystems across iOS and Android. The team drives mobile libraries, frameworks, standards, CI/CD infrastructure, release management, and the adoption of modern development practices, including AI-assisted and agentic workflows. The mission is to make mobile development seamless, automated, and scalable, allowing product engineering teams to focus on delivering value to users.

Position Summary
As Engineering Manager for Mobile Enablement:
- Lead a team of senior and principal engineers across iOS and Android.
- Partner closely with a dedicated Platform Product Manager.
- Own team composition, execution models, and ensure measurable outcomes for product engineering teams.
- Focus on organizational health, technical strategy, and execution.
Work Responsibilities

Team Leadership & People Management:
Build an environment for high-performing engineers to operate autonomously, collaborate, and translate expertise into scalable mechanisms. -
Technical Strategy & Roadmap:
Define and drive the technical vision around CI/CD, release management, mobile frameworks, and adoption of AI/agentic workflows. -
Execution & Delivery:
Deliver outcome-first, customer-centric initiatives, structuring work around developer journeys and operating team engagement models such as InnerSource and customer enabling. -
Operational Excellence:
Ensure reliability and performance of mobile CI/CD, release management, libraries, and tooling; define and monitor success metrics. -
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Product Management and other Engineering Enablement pillars to align mobile capabilities with business needs and drive adoption.

Qualifications
Required
- Alignment with the mission and values.
- Experience in managing or leading engineering teams in a platform/enablement/infrastructure context (including hiring, career development).
- Deep credibility in mobile (iOS, Android, or both), spanning build systems, CI/CD, frameworks, and releases.
- Proven track record of end-to-end ownership, from problem definition to measurement.
- Ability to align teams and drive adoption without direct authority.
- Strong communication skills in multicultural and multilingual environments.
Preferred
- Experience with InnerSource/community-driven engineering.
- Familiarity with agentic workflows, AI-assisted coding, or agent interfaces (CLIs, MCPs, Skills).
- Experience in both platform and product engineering orgs.
- Background with Bazel, monorepo management, or large-scale mobile CI/CD optimization.
- Experience in enablement or developer experience orgs.
Languages
- Japanese: Independent (CEFR B2) Preferred
- English: Independent (CEFR B2)
