Overview

The User Acquisition Marketing Manager is responsible for driving mobile consumer growth through data-driven, creative user acquisition campaigns. This position requires a blend of quantitative skills, creative thinking, and strong collaboration across cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious team growth goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Execute UA Strategies:
    Craft and implement comprehensive user acquisition strategies across all marketing channels in collaboration with marketing and product teams.

  • Campaign Performance:
    Reach performance marketing KPIs through optimized budget allocation.

  • Collaboration:
    Work with IP holders to advise and support their broader marketing strategies.

  • Data Integrity:
    Resolve data integrity issues related to campaign execution, working with MMP, internal data science, or marketing channels.

  • Creative Development:
    Work with internal/external agencies to build creative assets tailored for performance marketing.

  • Agency & Media Management:
    Manage external media and creative agencies.

  • Analytics & Reporting:
    Collaborate with data science teams to enhance UA reporting and adapt to evolving marketing metrics.

  • Data Analysis:
    Conduct detailed analysis to identify trends, measure campaign performance, and optimize strategies for improvement.

  • Cross-Functional Alignment:
    Coordinate with product marketing, marketing, and analytics teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.

  • Leadership Communication:
    Provide weekly updates to leadership, including insights, recommendations, and campaign results.

  • Stakeholder Management:
    Lead meetings to align with cross-functional team members and stakeholders on business needs.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing, statistics, finance or a related field.

  • Experience:

    • 6+ years in a mobile media buying position on major advertising platforms (paid social, ad networks, DSPs).
    • Experience managing large monthly budgets (ideally >$500k) across multiple channels.
    • Past experience managing/hiring contractors or third-party agencies.
    • Experience working with executive leadership to drive marketing strategy.
    • Proven record of improving creative performance via A/B testing.
  • Skills:

    • Outstanding interpersonal skills with ability to translate data into meaningful business recommendations.
    • Analytical and creative problem-solver.
    • Experience with market research data services (e.g., App Annie, Sensor Tower).
    • Knowledge of MMP platforms (Singular, Adjust, Appsflyer) and familiarity with Apple SKAN protocols (bonus).
  • Other:

    • Passion for analyzing products, customer insights, and market data.
    • Experience advising or implementing changes to marketing tech stack.
