Position: Position Details As a Software Engineer in this role, you will primarily be responsible for the development and operation of the Rakuten Travel Xchange service. Your key responsibilities will include: - Internal Tool & Service Development and Maintenance: Design, develop, and maintain internal tools and services to improve company workflows and productivity, utilizing technologies such as Node.js, TypeScript, Golang, and Vue.js. - Architectural Design: Architect scalable and maintainable solutions for new and existing internal applications. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, business stakeholders, and other engineers, to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions. - High-Quality Code Implementation: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and leveraging Git for version control. - Development Process Improvement: Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes. - Technical Problem Resolution: Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues within internal tools and services. - Automation and Process Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for automation and process improvement within the company’s infrastructure. - System Reliability Assurance: Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of internal applications, utilizing technologies like GCP, Kubernetes, Postgres, and Redis. - Technology Trend Monitoring and Proposal: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and propose their adoption where beneficial. - Agile Development Participation: Work within an Agile development environment, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. 　 Work Environment Development: - Node.js, TypeScript, Golang - Middleware: - Git, GCP, Kubernetes, Postgres, and Redis - CI/CD: - Jenkins, SonarQube, Ansible Others: - Microsoft Teams, Confluence, JIRA, BitBucket, etc. 　 　 Mandatory Qualifications: Technical Skills / Experiences - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Proven experience more than 6 years in software development with either Nodejs or Golang. - Strong knowledge of software architecture and design patterns. - Experience with Git, GCP, Kubernetes, Postgres, and Redis. - Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. Soft Skills / Experiences - Proactively involves others in order to solve problems or improve the situation(should not be shy or introvert). - Having inquiring mind for various issues/items. - Having passion to learn continuously in a fast-moving environment. - Must be able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders - Willing to tackle new challenges and drive improvements, NOT satisfied with the status quo and routine work. - A good team-worker.
