Job Description: Business Overview Rakuten operates over 30 services, including Rakuten Ichiba, Rakuten Travel, Rakuma, and Rakuten Healthcare, making it a core company within the Rakuten Group. Department Overview This organization is a newly established strategic department, formed on June 1, 2024, with the aim of maximizing synergy between Rakuten Mobile and other Rakuten Group services. We strive to maximize overall group revenue and ROI (Return on Investment) by acquiring Rakuten Mobile users and fostering loyal users across our various services. AI & Data Office is an organization that promotes data utilization across the Company. Our mission is to effectively utilize data assets, maximize revenue through data support for business units, develop data talent, and promote the use of AI. This organization reports to the Company Chief AI & Data Officer, who also serves as the Tech Executive Officer for the Commerce & Marketing Company. We play a critical role in creating business value through the power of data and AI for diverse services, including Rakuten Ichiba. Position: Why We Hire To accelerate our AI and data initiatives, we are increasing our headcount to bolster the department's capacity. Position Details In this position, you will be responsible for promoting data utilization to maximize the synergy between Rakuten Mobile and the services of the Commerce & Marketing Company within the Ecosystem Utilization Promotion Office. You will be responsible for visualizing user behavior by utilizing multiple data sources and deriving insights that contribute to business growth. - Integrate and analyze data such as customer attributes, purchase history, and web behavior logs to extract insights. - Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives (campaigns and promotions) and analyze behavioral characteristics by user segment. - Design, build, and automate dashboards using BI tools such as Tableau/DOMO, and develop KPI monitoring infrastructure. - Provide support for ad-hoc data extraction and hypothesis verification. - Organize analytical results structurally as a story and implement proposals and reporting through materials and presentations. Additionally, you may be responsible for data consulting services to other departments as needed. Work Environment Our organization is a compact team of several dedicated members, mainly in their 20s and 30s. Because we are a small and elite team, each individual has a great deal of discretion and influence, and you can take on challenges in a fast-paced environment. Mandatory Qualifications: - Approximately 3 years of practical experience in data extraction, processing, and aggregation using SQL. - Experience in independently designing hypotheses, structuring, and designing analyses to solve business challenges. Desired Qualifications: - Basic understanding of IT/data infrastructure (DWH, ETL, data structure, etc.). - Practical experience in designing and building dashboards using BI tools such as Tableau, DOMO, and Looker. - Experience in large-scale data processing using Big Query. - Practical experience in data analysis, visualization, and machine learning using Python or R. - Experience in promoting projects using analytical results.
