Department Overview FinTech Product Development Division General Management Department envisions core integration among all FinTech services in Rakuten. We are developing strategies for future business roadways and effectively managing the current business streams to drive them towards a more synergized power in the FinTech market. The various key programs are business continuity planning, infrastructure and architecture planning, synergized and integrated application and service development, security promotion, anti-money laundering policies, data governance and data sciences. We are looking for a GRC Specialist to work with the FinTech Data Strategy Group and be a part of Data Governance and Management initiatives. Collaborate with senior managers, data handlers and other related business units to shape the multi-year, iterative program plan to ensure Data Governance goals. Select from available delivery methodologies as appropriate to meet the program goals and manage execution risks. We need someone to ensure we adhere to all relevant regulations and industry standards, proactively identify and mitigate potential risks, and foster a strong risk-aware culture throughout the organization. Your expertise will be critical in safeguarding our operations and driving sustainable growth. Position Details Position Responsibilities - Drive Data Governance Maturity Assessment: Lead and execute comprehensive data governance maturity assessments, leveraging and further developing our internal Rakuten DGMA model - Strategic Collaboration: Partner closely with data owners and key stakeholders across all Fintech Groups to foster a culture of data excellence - Continuous Improvement: Continuously track progress, develop, and drive action plans to elevate data governance standards - Best Practice Champion: Promote and embed data governance best practices throughout the organization Mandatory Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree with 3~5 years’ working experience in Computer Science, IT, or a related field - Professional experience in at least one of the following areas - Software Development, Database Administration, Network Engineering, Internal System Auditing, or a related IT Security field - Ability to work effectively in a team environment; address conflicts appropriately, and build productive partnerships with stakeholders, peers, and senior managers to achieve targeted goals - Excellent communication skills with a strong understanding of system data flows Desired Qualifications: - Proficiency in performing internal system audits within a corporate environment - Working knowledge in data governance and management, strategy, architecture, development, or operations - Some knowledge in Data Governance concepts like Metadata Management, Data Quality and Lineage Management, Master Data Management - Holding a security professional certification like CISSP or CISA or CDMP - Knowledge about security standards and frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001, NIST CSF, PCI-DSS Other Information: Additional information on Location NBF Shinagawa Tower Additional information on Secondment This position is a seconded position from Rakuten Group, Inc. to Rakuten Payment, Inc. #engineer #datascientist #dataanalyst #dataanalytics #fintechgroup #RakutenPay #RakutenPayment Languages: English (Overall - 2 - Intermediate), Japanese (Overall - 3 - Advanced) In Japanese, Rakuten stands for ‘optimism.’ It means we believe in the future.
