Infrastructure Engineer - BSS Frontend Development Section, BSS Development Department (BSDD)

Job Description: Business Overview The Technology Platforms Division (TPD) is responsible for building and operating the infrastructure and ecosystem platforms which power the Rakuten Group, Inc. Our mission is to provide our Rakuten Cloud and Ecosystem Platforms which will deliver Core Value to accelerate the growth of Rakuten Group, Inc. services. Department Overview Our department, BSS Development Department (BSDD), develops and maintains the BSS platform for MNO, VOICE, and ISP services, and is in charge of development and maintenance of IT infra (on-premise and cloud environment) for BSS platform. Position: Position Details As a hands-on full-stack developer for B2B MNO, you will use your development skills to build applications, by working on requirements (gathering, definition), the entire test plan (functional, operational, failure, load, etc.), risk assessment, release judgement, and reviews (design, test plan, test result). You will also come up with innovative ideas to help the product and the team, in order to improve overall efficiency of the team. Responsibilities - Develop software solutions, respond to requests for business requirements, design, coding, testing, and release, as well as maintenance of software programs and applications. - Collaborate with the team, and other stakeholders to deliver features with quality and speed. - Take responsibility of the product, perform maintenance, monitoring, identifying issues and problems, troubleshooting and bug-fixing when needed. - Be proactive in performing system improvement (e.g. refactoring, adopting appropriate technologies and system architecture). - Grow team members' technical and product development skills, by mentoring. - Create and maintain technical documentation. - Help identifying issues or problems occurring in a system, and fixing them. - Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers ensuring great UI/UX. - Maintain and oversee code cleanliness by defining guidelines and conducting code reviews. Mandatory Qualifications: - Software engineering experience (ideally, 7-10 years). - Solid understanding of frontend technologies, including JavaScript/React/HTML/CSS. - Experience with backend frameworks such as Node.js, Spring boot, Ruby on Rails. - Knowledge of infrastructure technologies, such as Python, Shell, Bash. - Knowledge of database technologies (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB). - Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). - Experience with cloud services (GCP, Azure, AWS). - Excellent problem-solving ability. Desired Qualifications: - Experience building CI/CD pipelines. - Knowledge of security and data protection. - Business-level Japanese communication skills.
