Department Overview The Platform and Infrastructure Department is a specialized infrastructuteam that supports Rakuten's Payment business. In our team, we play a key role as cloud engineers from the design stage of services, handling a wide range of tasks such as defining non-functional requirements, system design, construction, operation, reporting, and improvement. Position: Why We Hire Rakuten Payment business is rapidly expanding, with the introduction of new services and the enhancement of existing ones, leading to an increase in the scope of operations. To support this growth, there is a need to strengthen the management and operation of cloud environments. Therefore, we are seeking an experienced Lead Cloud Engineer who can manage diverse cloud environments, including Azure, Google Cloud, and Private Cloud. Position Details As a Cloud Engineer, you will manage multiple environments in Azure, Google Cloud, and Private Cloud, ensuring they are up-to-date with the latest updates and security measures. While primarily focusing on IaaS, you will also handle some aspects of PaaS and SaaS. If you will join as team lead, you will lead the team through the entire process from initial design to operational management, maintaining effective communication throughout. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and maintain multiple environments in Azure, Google Cloud, and Private Cloud. - Stay current with the latest updates in Azure, Google Cloud, and Private Cloud, and implement necessary changes. - Address and mitigate security challenges within each cloud environment. - Primarily handle IaaS, with some responsibilities in PaaS and SaaS. - Communicate proactively and effectively with team members and stakeholders. - Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of cloud services. - Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise. - Develop and maintain documentation for cloud infrastructure and processes. Desired Qualifications: - Someone with a strong motivation for infrastructure work. - Experience as an on-premises server administrator. - Knowledge of PaaS and SaaS in an Azure environment. - Certifications in Azure (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator - Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert). - Experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI). - Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, Terraform). - Familiarity with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus.
