Job Description: Business Overview The Technology Platforms Division (TPD) drives the growth of Rakuten's ecosystem by delivering innovative, high-quality technology platforms characterized by integrated control and strategic partnerships. Within TPD, the Cloud Platform Supervisory Department (CPSD) develops and manages Rakuten's state-of-the-art cloud platform, empowering global scalability and accelerating innovation across its diverse business units. Department Overview The Cloud Services Department (CLSD) at Rakuten Group provides high-quality cloud infrastructure and platform services to application developers across Rakuten. Our mission is to enable secure, scalable, and efficient digital innovation. We deliver key domain services, including compute, storage, core infrastructure components, databases, container platforms, observability, and gateway solutions, empowering Rakuten application teams to focus on their core business objectives. Logging Platform group is a cross-functional team developing highly scalable logging platform for Rakuten developers and DevOps engineers. Our focus is on providing a fully-managed logging service for our internal cloud systems. The team is responsible for: - Logging pipeline designs - Monitoring and maintenance of the logging platform - Defining our customer's experience with well designed APIs, UIs - Exploratory projects that impact performance, scalability, security and developer experience Position: Position Details Responsibilities - Design robust architecture - Find technical issues and propose the solutions - Make technical decisions with accountability - Lead team members and improve process - Troubleshooting - On-call duty Mandatory Qualifications: - 1+ years experience on architecture design - 1+ years experience on programing in any language - 3+ years experience on engineer role - experience on DevOps / SRE - People who can sympathize with Rakuten's Vision - Excellent communication and negotiation skill Desired Qualifications: - Programing experience (Go/Python) - Knowledge on ELK stack - Knowledge on Cloud/CNCF - Knowledge on SRE related knowledge (IAC/Monitoring etc.) - Experience on operations with a strict change management flow #engineer #designer #technologyplatformdiv In Japanese, Rakuten stands for ‘optimism.’ It means we believe in the future.
