Job Description: Department Overview: The E-money System Department is responsible for the entire lifecycle of system services related to payment services (Rakuten Edy, Rakuten Cash), from service planning, UI/UX planning and implementation, basic and detailed system design, coding, testing, and operation. As services expand, you will gain experience in planning, building, and operating highly scalable systems. You will also have the opportunity to directly hear customer feedback and implement service improvements. Our Product Group collaborates with business members to develop new services and improve existing ones for the e-money services "Rakuten Edy" and "Rakuten Cash." Many of our tasks directly impact the services, allowing you to see your contributions being used by people in the real world. Rakuten Cash, in particular, is a rapidly expanding service, offering the chance to be involved in the process of building new services from the ground up. About Rakuten Edy and Rakuten Cash: These are large-scale products with millions of users. Rakuten Cash has seen significant user growth over the past year and is a "hot" product within the Rakuten ecosystem. Hiring Background: To expand and improve the e-money services Edy and Rakuten Cash within the Rakuten Group, we are seeking individuals to lead projects, bringing together business and engineering teams. Job Responsibilities: You will lead business and engineering teams, manage development projects, plan systems, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, gaining experience in tasks that directly impact our services. Specifically, as a system planning specialist, you will be responsible for the following: ・Defining service requirements for development projects. ・Planning and promoting improvements to enhance services. ・Acting as a liaison for the system department for external negotiations. ・Reporting and proposing to decision-makers. The variety of projects offers a wide range of experiences, which is a major appeal of this role. Work Environment: The team consists of approximately 10 members, including full-time employees and partner company members. All members are mid-career hires with diverse prior experiences in development, project management, and IT consulting. Many members were new to the financial industry and have successfully acquired payment-related knowledge after joining. Required Skills and Experience: ・Approximately 3 years of experience in system upstream processes. ・Experience in project management for development projects. ・Experience in negotiation. Preferred Skills and Experience: ・Knowledge of financial systems. ・Interest in new services and technologies.
