Department Overview The Incentive Platform Department (INPD) provides incentive and payment solutions that empower Rakuten's businesses around the world, including Rakuten's Point/Loyalty, Coupon, Campaign, and Payment Gateway platforms. The capabilities and scale of these platforms are being continuously upgraded to accelerate synergy between and within the Rakuten ecosystem. We develop Event Management Platform (EMP) System to support Rakuten Ichiba campaigns and other related operation to execute campaigns. Now we are shifting to provide the same successful experience to other Rakuten Businesses. Event Management Platform (EMP) is supporting Rakuten Ichiba Business as main. There is a vision with a business side to make our product a single platform for all business operations. There is a huge opportunity to lead product vision and road maps to make our platform as a core system for Rakuten ecosystem.   Position: Why We Hire We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager to join our team. As a Product Manager, you will play a vital role in managing and coordinating the development, launch, and improvement of our platform features. You will work collaboratively with Rakuten Business to ensure our product meets their expectations and improve productivity. Position Details The Event Management Platform (EMP) is a core system designed to streamline the planning and execution of internal events. As a Product Manager, you will lead the upgrade of the Event Management Platform (EMP) service, which is developed as an in-house system, the development of new features, and the formulation and execution of strategies that contribute to improving the operational efficiency of user departments. You will work closely with the Japanese business units (event planning and management departments) to deeply understand the needs of users, develop a strategic roadmap to reduce operational burden and enable end-to-end operational support through system integration, and execute that roadmap.   Mandatory Qualifications: - Product Management Skills The ability to understand the characteristics of internal products, accurately grasp the needs of users (internal stakeholders), and reflect them in the product. - Communication Skills High communication skills in Japanese and English (speaking, reading, and writing). Facilitation skills to facilitate smooth communication with members of different departments and job types and lead to consensus building. - Business Analysis Skills Ability to analyze internal business processes, identify issues, and propose improvements. - Problem-Solving Skills Ability to structurally analyze complex problems and derive solutions.
