Department Overview The Global Ad Technology Department (GATD) is a cross functional and data-driven organization working together in a diverse team spread across four countries: Japan, Singapore, India, China. GATD Website:http://corp.rakuten.co.jp/careers/feature/adtech/en/ We develop and maintain the comprehensive advertisement platform that allows both internal stakeholders (ex. Rakuten Ichiba merchants, Rakuten Travel accommodations) and external advertisers (huge national and international clients) to freely manage their promotional mix and marketing campaigns. Working with us you will be able to learn everything about Rakuten Group's wide range of services. In our team, Product Management Section, we have product ownership to delivery advertisement product to maximize clients' sales by advertise activity and Rakuten's ad sales. Position: Why We Hire Due to business expansion, we are looking for a product manager who understands the business background, objectives, business needs, and challenges, and who will lead the creation of products and functions that contribute to business growth, including the formulation of requirements. Depending on your career aspirations, aptitude, skills, experience, and situation, you may be assigned to a single product or multiple products. Product Examples: - Listing Ads - display ads - CPD ads - Travel ads Position Details - Responsible for the growth and success of assigned products - Work closely with the business and product development managers to create and promote the product roadmap in an integrated manner, while aligning the business plan and technology roadmap Mandatory Qualifications: - 3+ years of experience in digital product/service development; experience in marketing or advertising area is a plus - Experience in closely collaborating with stakeholders in Business and Development to develop digital products/services - Basic understanding of software development process - Good communication skills with tech/non-tech people in both Japanese and English - Strong analytical and quantitative problem solving ability - Proactive self-starter with self-motivated mind - Strong get-things-done mind with a sense of ownership - Proven ability to deal with frequent changes - Ability to build trust and strong relationships as a team player, leveraging excellent communication skills Preferred Qualifications: - Basic understanding of the digital marketing ecosystem and ad technology (practical experience highly desirable) - Experience in the retail or e-commerce industry - Experience collaborating with remote teams #engineer #producer #productmanager #globaladdiv #RakutenAdvertising In Japanese, Rakuten stands for ‘optimism.’ It means we believe in the future.
