Job Description: Business Overview The Technology Management Division (TMD) provides Corporate IT, and Cyber Security & Privacy Governance to Rakuten Group companies and essential business management for technology organizations, thereby enabling innovation and strengthening the technology foundation. Within TMD, the Corporate IT Supervisory Department (CITD) drives Rakuten Group’s global corporate IT services and infrastructure. Department Overview The Corporate IT Service Department (CITSD) empowers Rakuten through innovative and secure IT solutions that drive efficiency and enhance productivity. Our service scope encompasses enterprise application management for core business functions, driving business process automation and digital transformation through our IT platform, providing comprehensive end-user support and operations, and optimizing IT processes to support a range of essential services and platforms. Position: Position Details As an SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Architect and Engineer, you will lead the planning, implementation, and optimization of SAP BTP solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver scalable, integrated, and innovative business applications that extend SAP systems such as S/4HANA and Ariba. Key Responsibilities - Design and implement integration solutions using SAP BTP and Cloud Platform Integration (CPI). - Translate business requirements into technical specifications and solution architectures. - Develop and maintain applications using SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAPM), SAP UI5, and SAP Integration Suite. - Optimize and troubleshoot existing integrations to enhance performance and reliability. Mandatory Qualifications: - Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with SAP BTP and CPI. - Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with the ETL/API Integration Platform(e.g., MuleSoft, Workato, Talend). - 7+ years of hands-on experience in the IT Industry as an Application Architect and Engineer. - Strong understanding of SAP integration tools, methodologies, and cloud architecture. - Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Node.js, or Python for cloud development. - SAP BTP or S/4HANA System Administration certification preferred. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. - Strong communication skills in both Japanese and English.
