Research Engineer・Research Scientist (Spatial AI)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop core technologies for 3D reconstruction from images and large-scale 3D foundation models.
• Manage large-scale datasets and training pipelines.
• Develop high-quality novel view synthesis techniques.
• Publish research papers and collaborate with other research groups.

Required Skills and Experience

• Master’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Practical experience in research and development in the field of computer vision.
• Experience in research and development using PyTorch or other deep learning frameworks.
• Experience in collaborative software development using platforms such as GitHub.
• Experience reading and reproducing the latest research papers, or modifying existing algorithms.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Knowledge and experience in 3D vision, including Structure from Motion, depth estimation, and 3D geometry models.
• Knowledge and experience in neural rendering methods such as NeRF and Gaussian Splatting.
• Experience in data processing, such as large-scale image data retrieval and management.
• Experience using graphics engines such as Blender, Unity, or Unreal Engine.
• Experience presenting papers at top conferences in computer vision (e.g., CVPR, ICCV, ECCV), computer graphics (e.g., SIGGRAPH), and machine learning (e.g., NeurIPS, ICLR).

Mission

• Design and implement state-of-the-art 3D spatial foundation models.
• Develop software platforms for processing large-scale images and other sensor data, as well as for model training and evaluation.
• Collaborate with projects on multimodal models and robotics, contributing to business applications.

Working Hours

• Flexible work available
• Standard hours: 9:00 AM – 5:45 PM
• Break: 1 hour
• Overtime: Required as needed

Salary and Bonuses

• Monthly Salary: ¥541,667 – ¥1,500,000
• Estimated Annual Salary: ¥6,500,000 – ¥18,000,000
  Note: The upper limit is not guaranteed. Monthly and annual salaries include base pay and fixed overtime allowance (equivalent to 35 hours). Overtime pay applies only to non-managerial positions and will be paid additionally if actual overtime exceeds the fixed 35 hours. Incentives may be provided separately.

Allowances

• Commuting allowance: up to ¥150,000 per month
• Non-managerial employees: Eligible for overtime, night shifts, holiday work, and commuting allowances
• Managerial employees: Eligible for management, night shift, and commuting allowances

Holidays and Leave

• Regular holidays: Two days off per week (Saturday and Sunday), national holidays
• Year-end and New Year holidays: December 29 – January 3
• Other company-designated holidays
• Annual paid leave: 6–21 days (number of days granted varies depending on the month of joining)
