CADDi

QA Engineer

CADDi is a company that is focused on "liberating the potential of the manufacturing industry." They are involved in two businesses: "CADDi Manufacturing," a one-stop partner for procurement and manufacturing, and "CADDi Drawer," a product that assetizes data in the supply chain.

"CADDi Drawer," launched in 2022, has made it possible to utilize structured drawing data, which is considered the most important in the manufacturing industry, by combining it with various information using technologies such as machine learning. It is already being used by major domestic manufacturers and processing companies, and sales have also begun in the US and Vietnam since 2023.

To continue challenging the transformation of the global manufacturing industry, it is necessary to have engineering capabilities that can balance stable service operation and technological innovation. In the midst of the high level of difficulty in scaling globally without sacrificing technical expertise, they are seeking a QA Engineer who will define the desired product quality and work with the development team to improve quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Work together with the QA Manager to improve the QA process for "CADDi Drawer" or related products, including test design, implementation, and execution.
  • Take a comprehensive view of "how to ensure quality" and "how to improve processes," as well as "why quality is important" and "what we should focus on now," and work with stakeholders to improve product quality through the QA process in order to continuously deliver value to customers.

Example tasks include:

  • Defining the desired quality based on the product vision, business strategy, and organizational context.
  • Developing a test strategy and leading test planning, design, and execution.
  • Reviewing and proposing improvements to product specifications from a quality perspective.

  • Improving quality, including non-functional requirements, is a key goal for both the Enabling Group and the entire development organization and business. Therefore, members of the CTO Office, including CTO Kobashi, provide full support.

Experience you can gain in this position:

  • Experience playing a central role in improving quality in a rapidly growing product.
  • Experience in QA work in an organization that expands its business globally.
  • Experience in launching and strengthening a QA organization.
  • Experience in tackling challenging tasks with high difficulty along with enthusiastic team members.

Required qualifications:

  • Experience in leading the development of a test strategy, test planning, design, and execution.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Development and QA experience in large-scale systems spanning multiple teams.
  • Experience in designing test processes based on standards and common QA practices such as ISTQB and ISO29119, and implementing them in development organizations.
  • QA experience in organizations that implement agile development.
  • Experience in developing test automation strategies and implementing them.

Desired qualities:

  • Sympathy with CADDi's mission to "liberate the potential of the manufacturing industry."
  • A broad perspective that goes beyond "how to ensure quality" and "how to improve processes" to "why quality is important" and "what we should focus on now," and an attitude of discussing with stakeholders.
  • Ability to face fundamental challenges and take action towards solutions with a sense of responsibility.
  • Ability to perform tasks in a positive manner and engage in constructive discussions in a rapidly changing and highly uncertain environment.
  • Ability to communicate and discuss with others while considering their context and resolution.
